तिथि
The moon-date of your birth

The day the sky repeats itself.

In the Vedic reckoning a birthday does not return with the Gregorian calendar — it returns when the same tithi and the same lunar month align again in the heavens. Enter the day you were born, and see your true tithi and the Gregorian dates on which it falls this year and the next.

Your Gregorian birth date

Tell us when you were born.

Where no time is given, midday is assumed. Months are named pūrṇimānta, as the Vikrama Saṃvat is reckoned. Place is recorded but does not yet refine the reckoning.
With reverence

Keep the day as your forebears would.

The tithi of your birth is held especially auspicious for you — a day the tradition sets aside for worship, offering, and giving. When it returns each year, mark it thus:

Temple visit · Darśana

Begin the day with darśana at your temple — a quiet return to the sacred before the day unfolds.

Yajña · Sacred fire

Offer a homa or yajña, however small — the fire that carries the household's prayers upward on your day.

Iṣṭa · Kuladevatā · Devī pūjā

Honour your chosen deity and your family's Kuladevatā and Kuladevī with pūjā, as the lineage has always done.

Dāna · Giving

Close the day with dāna — food, cloth, or alms given freely, so that your good fortune passes to another.

Record it for good

Set your tithi into your Vaṃśa-Vṛkṣa.

Sign in to complete your Vedic profile and let your tithi become part of your family's living banyan. Once recorded, your true birthday is preserved beside your Gotra, Pravara and Kuladevata.

A single reckoning, kept faithfully for generations to come — so that those who follow you need never wonder which day was truly yours.
