The Six Sacred Layers
With Reverence
The foundational Dharmaśāstra encoding Gotra law — including the seven-generation Sapiṇḍa boundaries that protect both lineage and genetic wisdom.
Eighteen Rishis whose spiritual lineages define the 18 Aggarwal Gotras — each a living thread connecting today's families to Vedic antiquity.
Founder of the Aggarwal community. Established the 18-Gotra system as the foundation of kinship, trade, and dharmic continuity.
Sacred confluences where Panda Bahis preserve century-old family records — geography as genealogy, water as witness.
Hereditary Pandas who maintain handwritten Bahīs across generations — the original custodians of family memory at every sacred ghāṭ.
How It Works
A Community Admin or verified family member sends you a personal invite. Self-registration is not permitted — every new member must be vouched for.
Sign in with a PIN — and a one-time code on first sign-in. No passwords, ever. We match your details against existing verified family records before access is granted.
Add your Gotra, Pravara, Kuladevta and Kuladevi. Connect to a parent or sibling already in the system, or invite them to join your branch.
Our Principles
A smaller, verified dataset is always preferred over a large, unverified one. Every record must trace to a living, accountable member.
Members only. Invite-gated. Mobile numbers and emails are never visible to other members. No lineage data is exposed to unauthenticated visitors.
Manusmṛti, Bahī records, and Purohit testimony are the reference sources. Contested data is flagged for admin review, not silently overwritten.
Every Gotra and every lineage is honoured equally on its own terms. No ranking, no hierarchy among Gotras — each thread is sacred.

Voices From the Lineage
For seventy years, our family's Bahī sat in a steel almirah in my father's house. Gotra Guru is the first place I have trusted to hold a digital copy of it — because it treats those pages as scripture, not as data.
“The Sapiṇḍa check before my daughter's vivāha gave me certainty in five seconds that would have taken three Purohits a week.”
“My grandmother knew our Gotra. My father forgot. With this, my children will not have to ask anyone — it is theirs.”
“I have spent forty years asking families their Pravara at weddings. To see this written down — correctly — is a great relief.”
“I added six generations in one evening. My uncle in Kolkata added four more the next morning. We had never spoken about it before.”
